Papilio Early Learning Reedy Creek recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. We are committed to recognising and respectfully sharing Aboriginal and Torris Strait Islander perspectives, heritage, and cultures within the centre. In respect to First Peoples, the Papilio team will be provided with the opportunity to extend on their knowledges about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures to support curriculum planning for children.
We aim to influence the understanding and respect of First Nations peoples, cultures, and perspectives within wider community. We seek to provide children and families with age-appropriate truth telling and the impacts of colonisation and learning experiences that promote equity and equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people.
