At Bethania Early Education Centre, we highly value the rich cultures, histories, heritages, traditions, and continued contributions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our vision is to actively acknowledge and honour the Elders, both past and present, as they have walked this land before us. We commit to this journey of reconciliation with utmost respect, reverence, and understanding.
We envision a future where we provide high-quality care, relationships, and personal development that educate the present and future generations. We will strive to create a culturally safe and inclusive environment where all children can develop a strong sense of personal and national identity, and demonstrate pride in the diversity, strength, and resilience of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
We believe in fostering equity and equality between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. We uphold the principles of inclusion and diversity that are underpinned by the National Law, and we commit to ensuring that all children and families feel welcomed, supported, and given the best education possible.
To achieve this vision, we will collaborate with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to deepen our knowledge and understanding of their cultures, histories, and perspectives. We will provide professional development opportunities for our staff to incorporate these perspectives into our curriculum, teaching, and learning experiences.
We believe that reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and we are committed to working together with the community towards a future where all Australians can live together in mutual respect, understanding, and harmony.
We invite feedback from families and the community to ensure that we are meeting our commitment to providing a culturally safe and inclusive environment for all children and families
