The Educators at Hyperdome Early Education Centre and Preschool are embarking on another year of increasing our knowledge, connection and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and contributions. As we continue to grow as a service on this reconciliation journey with our local and wider community, we will be respectful to Elder's past, present and emerging. The centre will continue to seek support and learn about ways to be inclusive of cultural diversity and continue to reduce tokenism. We will continue to seek and build on the meaning of our reconciliation journey with children and families through educational practices. During this journey of reconciliation, we will look for guidance from local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, families and community members to teach and collaborate with our educators as well as to work towards a common voice and goal. Linking community and children to learn how to connect and care for Country.
