C&K Mount Gravatt West Community Childcare Centre

At C&K Mount Gravatt West we are committed to fostering meaningful relationships and bonds with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children, and communities. We will work towards building partnerships with  local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Elders and relevant services.

C&K Mount Gravatt West will strive to educate children, families, community members and staff about reconciliation. We also strive to learn from the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and where appropriate, share knowledge about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, and ways of life.

Through this learning, C&K Mount Gravatt hopes to encourage and provide opportunities for all educators to respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultures into their practice.

C&K Mount Gravatt West  is committed to:

- Creating a cultural safe and welcoming environment for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families - Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to support their child's early learning and to ensure they are school ready

- Ensuring all C&K Staff provide quality education and care with cultural integrity and equitable and equal opportunities for all First Nations children

- Ensuring all staff, children, families, and the wider community learn the true histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
