Goodstart McDowall

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart McDowall we acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the traditional custodians of all lands on which we come together. We recognise that children's connection to their community is essential to their sense of belonging and that we play a key role in cultivating relationships with the wider community.

We respect and acknowledge the unique connection that Aboriginal people have to the land. We respect and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures and the contribution they have made to the community.

We are committed to gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander ways of knowing and learning and reflecting that knowledge throughout our centre.

We aim to improve access to our centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families and to form genuine and respectful relationships within our community to benefit all children and families in our centre and community.
