Avenues Early Learning Centre McDowall’s vision for reconciliation is to ensure that all children have equal and equitable opportunities in a culturally safe environment.  

We take our responsibility very seriously to ensure all the children in our care form a deep connection to and an understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples 

cultures, perspectives and our true history. 

We are committed to having a shared journey in building our knowledge, weaving and respectively embedding the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultural perspectives throughout our programs. 

We actively work towards building cultural safety throughout our service, providing opportunities to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and cultures. We are committed to learning and educating ourselves about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, histories, traditions and language to become an ally, and to teach the future generations to become an ally.
