VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Fish Creek Kindergarten, we envision a future where reconciliation is lived through our everyday relationships, teaching, and learning. We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, histories, cultures, perspectives, and contributions are honoured and valued.

We believe reconciliation begins in early childhood. By nurturing childrens curiosity, empathy, and respect for the First Peoples of Australia, we aim to foster a strong sense of belonging and connection to community.

Our vision is to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with humility and openness, recognising the ongoing impacts of colonisation and our responsibility to listen, learn, and take meaningful action, and contribute to creating a united future.

Through genuine partnerships, reflective practice, and continuous learning, we strive to empower children, families, educators, and the broader community to contribute to a more just, equitable, and reconciled Australia.

Fish Creek Kindergarten acknowledges that this work is an ongoing journey. We are committed to deepening our understanding, strengthening relationships, and embedding reconciliation into the heart of our service for current and future generations.

This vision builds on our longstanding commitment to reconciliation and the culturally responsive practices outlined throughout our service philosophy and RAP journey.
