At Marysville and District Kindergarten Association, we are learning from and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to understand how to build and maintain meaningful and respectful relationships within our community and broader Australia.
Our vision for reconciliation is demonstrated at Marysville Preschool by showing respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their Lands, cultures, spiritualities and traditions. This is fundamental in our organisation's purpose to enhance children's life and educational opportunities, outcomes and to encourage a positive learning journey.
Marysville Preschool is committed to ensuring that positive relationships are maintained across our organisation in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Through embedding strategies to achieve reconciliation between First Nations people and the wider community, we will continue to develop and grow together as one community.
We work to provide a culturally responsive and respectful environment, that is inclusive and where people feel they belong. These actions will continue our work towards meeting the needs of the individual Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community.
Marysville Preschool promotes equity and equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. We pay respect to the local Traditional Custodians of the Land and work towards respectfully incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, histories and heritages into our everyday practices.
