Goodstart Early Learning Carrum Downs Hall Road acknowledges and respects the cultural histories, heritages, traditions and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a learning community, we are committed to building and maintaining genuine, respectful relationships with the Bunurong community. We embed reconciliation into our everyday practice, supporting children, educators and families to develop understanding, respect and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, histories and perspectives. We recognise that childrens sense of belonging is strengthened through meaningful connections to the local community, and we see our centre as an important place for nurturing empathy, cultural responsiveness and shared responsibility for reconciliation within Carrum Downs and the wider community, led by non-Indigenous people in collaboration and consultation with First Nations community members.
