At Waverley Meadows Preschool, nestled on the Ancestral Lands of the Boon Wurrung people, we envision a future where reconciliation is at the heart of early childhood education. We are committed to continuing to foster a community that celebrates and respects the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our goal is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child, aged 3-5 years, begins their learning journey with a deep respect for the First Peoples of Australia. We seek to continue to build meaningful relationships with the Boon Wurrung community, respectfully embedding their wisdom and stories into our daily practices, curriculum, and values. Through this commitment, we aim to empower our children, staff and families to grow as compassionate, informed, and culturally aware individuals who honour the past, contribute to the present, and work towards a reconciled future.
