Goodstart Early Learning Doncaster East strives to be a space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and cultures are respected and celebrated, forming an integral part of our environments, interactions, intentional teaching and relationships with our children, families and the community. We are committed to building partnerships with the Wurundjeri peoples based on mutual trust and respect. We acknowledge the value and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and recognise reconciliation is a reciprocal process that all staff, children and families can participate in, to ensure our service is culturally inclusive and respectful.
We are here to educate the children about the future whilst incorporating a sense of being, belonging and becoming at our centre. We at Goodstart Doncaster East will continue to provide children with a range of learning experiences in a respectful way which enhances children’s knowledge and understanding of our country’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage and encourages connectedness to First Peoples within our centre and the broader community, maintaining positive relationships and links to the Wurundjeri people which is being embedded throughout our centre’s curriculums and daily routines.
