Our vision at the Stables Kindergarten is for children, educators and families to deepen their knowledge of and respect for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of this nation and the Traditional Owners of the Land. We recognise their continuing connections to culture, land, water and community and respect their communities, cultures and histories. At the Stables Kindergarten we acknowledge the importance of and the need for reconciliation in our community. We strive to work closely with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in our area to provide rich and meaningful experiences with First Nations peoples perspectives, histories and cultures that complement our holistic program. The staff at the Stables Kindergarten will continue to gather and broaden their knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and perspectives though continuous professional development so that we can embed this in a culturally respectful and safe manner with our children and families.
