At Wyndham Park Kindergarten we embrace the healing process of reconciliation through unity, respect and belonging. We place value in fostering connections and developing positive relationships between the local and wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Stra Islander peoples. We will continue to promote diversity and understanding in our teaching environment. As educators, we are committed to broadening our children's understanding of the world, and of the place and continued significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contributions. We will reflect on the past, look at the present and think about the future of Australia and the role we play in reducing prejudice and progressing reconciliation.
At Wyndham Park Kindergarten, we are committed to working with local Aboriginal Elders within our community as we take our next steps in acknowledging and respectfully promoting the continuation of the cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
