Our vision for reconciliation is based on the belief that acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and contributions have a positive and long-lasting impact on children, educators and families. We will use culturally informed practices, understandings of local and national First Nations peoples cultures, histories, respectful relationships with service families, and connections with the local Wiradjuri community to deepen our awareness and knowledge. We understand that reconciliation is an ongoing journey and pledge to make the commitment to provide children, families and Educators with authentic tools to respect, celebrate and understand the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. Our environments will be safe cultural spaces and our educational program will encourage children to recognise, honor and respect the diversity and differences in ways of being, knowing and doing. Our team will strive to use carefully selected professional development to ensure that our cultural knowledge and attitudes remain current and will enhance these with ongoing reflection and professional conversation amongst peers, families and the wider community.
