Goodstart Cowra's vision for reconciliation is to actively put in policies and procedures to guide reflective practice, and learning, unlearning and relearning to engage in acknowledging and working to resolve unconscious bias.
By doing this reflective learning we will ensure educators, children and families understand Australia's true histories, especially of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and gain a deepening appreciation of the Land we live, work, play and learn on.
For families to have a sense of belonging, to feel culturally safe, secure and comfortable expressing their values and beliefs.
For the community within Goodstart to acknowledge and respectfully include First Nations peoples' perspectives, cultures and histories into all aspects of the curriculum and service governance.
