VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Erskine Park Childrens Centre recognises the Darug people, the Traditional Owners of the Land that we are on. We recognise and value the cultures and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We envision a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised as the First Nations People of Australia. We aim for all Australians to appreciate the wisdom and knowledge of past, present, and future Elders and to support emerging leaders within local communities. We aim to be a service that is culturally safe and responsive that all children can feel represented and seen in.

Erskine Park is working towards an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, and families feel a sense of belonging and a strong connection to their community and country. We strive to ensure that their cultural identities are respected, that they feel comfortable in their environments, and that all children are acknowledged and nurtured as the creators, thinkers, and leaders of both today and tomorrow.
