Griffith Preschool (Kindylane) actively acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. Our vision for reconciliation is a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are respected, celebrated and engaged with. As educators, we believe we have a strong responsibility to nurture an understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and cultures in generations of children. We strive to develop genuine, lasting relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples and to embed learning about our shared histories throughout our service and curriculum. In doing so we dedicate ourselves to a future that reinforces the values of equity, equality and inclusiveness. We acknowledge that reconciliation is an ongoing process. Walking together. Learning together. Growing together.
