Our vision for reconciliation is for children, staff, families and our extended community to deepen their awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s culture, histories and heritage. We aim to provide Educatorswith opportunities to develop their understandings of Australia's First Nation peoples’ perspectives and encourage them to respectfully embed programs with consideration to respect, equality, equity and cultural safety.
We aim to build rich connections within the local community, with guidance from local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and leaders and welcoming them within our preschool space, where appropriate, to teach us about their histories, culture and traditions. We respect Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islanders people as the oldest living culture that exists around the world and recognise, celebrate and embrace their culture, perspectives and histories in an honest and truthful way.
