Seeds Early Learning Centre commits to reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all other peoples of Australia, through fostering positive relationships and celebrating the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures. This will enable us to create a safe and welcoming environment. At Seeds Early Learning Centre, we recognise the ongoing opportunities we have to contribute to respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, their families, communities and all Australians. Seeds Early Learning Centre will continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within everyday programs and routines through spontaneous and intentional teaching practices. Through connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, we will enrich each childs learning and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, traditions and diversity and strengthen essential knowledge and understanding to create learning environments and programs that support the wellbeing, education and care of all children. We strive to work with Traditional Custodians to strengthen our understanding of, and connection to the Land, reflecting our commitment to sustainable practices and an aspiration to meaningfully contribute to reconciliation across the community.
