3 Bears Cottage's vision for reconciliation is to continue to contribute to the creation of an inclusive, equitable Australia. We recognise the complex histories and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, families and children– including the impacts of intergenerational trauma, grief, loss and racism resulting from colonisation – as well as recognise the continued strengths and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We commit to building authentic partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through strengthening relationships with and actively listen to First Nations Elders, professionals and community members. The principles of our vision for reconciliation will continue to be used and embedded in our service to promote equity in early childhood education and to create an environment where all young Australians are afforded equal and equitable opportunities to become successful, confident lifelong learners and informed members of their community.
