VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Gorokan Preschool, reconciliation means acknowledging the past and working together to create a culturally safe, respectful and inclusive environment where all children feel a strong sense of belonging. We recognise and respect the Darkinung people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our preschool stands, honouring their continuing connections to Land, culture and community.

We are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across our curriculum and everyday practices in meaningful and respectful ways.

Through strong partnerships with families, local Darkinung Elders, community members and Aboriginal organisations, as well as through ongoing reflection and learning, we strive to promote equity, inclusion, social justice and positive outcomes for all.
