Our vision for reconciliation is to continue our commitment to delivering a culturally responsive preschool program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, and all families, as we walk together for change and healing on Dharawal Land towards reconciliation. We acknowledge and celebrate the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play, the Dharawal people, who were playing and teaching children and at one with the Land long before the preschool was on the Land.
Jannali Preschool Kindergarten encourages and welcomes meaningful connections encompassing active and equal conversations with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and hopes that by having a valuable exchange of accurate knowledge, love and respect we can build enriching, strong and empowering relationships based on trust for the benefit of all Australians. Through our commitment to reconciliation we will support non-Indigenous educators, children and their families, to value and understand Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ ways of knowing, cultures, and histories., We believe it is inherent to our national identity that we work together towards closing the gap between the inequity and inequality that has always existed separating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and other Australians.
