At Goodstart Hurstville - Millet St we believe in creating an environment that actively promotes reconciliation by engaging children, families and educators to recognise, respect and celebrate the histories, culture and languages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
As the oldest living, thriving culture in the world we aspire to learn about, teach children and respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, languages and ways of being into our daily classroom practices and curriculum.
We aspire to ensure inclusion, cultural safety and a sense of belonging for all our children, families and educators. We do this through our daily routines, by making Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures visible, supporting ongoing professional development, and building collaborative partnerships with First Nations communities.
