Lalor Park Preschool as an environment where our community feel a sense of cultural safety for themselves and their children; where every student including Indigenous children feels welcome and learn about the histories, achievements and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. In learning from past injustices, we can use our knowledge to ensure we continue to build healthy equitable relationships for all families within our community.
With the guidance and insight of our local Wolkara Aboriginal Elders, we can continue to authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our curriculum and provide an environment that is inclusive, respectful and rich in cultural experiences for both First Nations and non-Indigenous families.
An inclusive learning environment that recognises the significance of belonging for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families and embeds Indigenous perspectives and respect for the Darug people and the Country we play on.
