At All Saints College, our reconciliation journey is active and evolving. We are committed to empowering students and our community to practise empathy, respect and understanding towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples so that reconciliation is visible in our relationships, our learning and our care of the local environment . We approach this work with humility, listening to the truth telling of local First Nations communities and being guided by the five dimensions of reconciliation: race relations, equality and equity, institutional integrity, unity and historical acceptance. Meaningful progress requires growth across all of these areas, reflected in our actions, commitments and curriculum. We honour Noongar Boodja and the six seasons Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang embedding seasonal knowledge and care for Country into teaching, daily practice, our Outdoor Learning Program and College life. Our Wetlands Ecology Precinct enables students and community to connect with boodja, fostering harmony, inclusion and a shared understanding of our responsibility to care for Country. We nurture a culture that respects the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures and encourages all students to celebrate their own heritage, identity and language. Our learning environments are places of welcome and pride, where First Nations peoples perspectives are centred and all students grow in cultural responsiveness, curiosity and confidence. In 2026, we will continue expanding our horizons and deepening our connections codesigning with Elders, Knowledge Holders, families and community partners so that our actions are meaningful, visible and reciprocal. Reconciliation is a shared responsibility, led by non-Indigenous people in collaboration with First Nations peoples, calling us to contribute positively within the College and the wider community. We commit to acting with integrity and courage building strong relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community that lead to lasting, measurable change.
