VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

East Wanneroo Primary Schools vision for reconciliation is for a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are respected, embedded and celebrated in our school, and pride in identity flourishes. We are committed to providing culturally responsive and safe learning environments, that are centred around Truth-telling. Our priority is ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices are actively heard, valued, respected, and are leading cultural education opportunities.

We continue to involve the wider school community in our reconciliation journey by inviting all families and community members to our RAP celebration events, annual Reconciliation Walks, and NAIDOC assemblies. We will respectfully, and with consultation, embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, knowledge, and understandings within our curriculum and learning spaces, ensuring that First Nations cultures are celebrated in our school.  East Wanneroo Primary School recognises the First Nations peoples, their histories and their contributions to Australia.
