Halidon Primary School’s vision for reconciliation is that our school community continues to build our understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures, especially about the local Noongar people and their culture and language. We will do this so that we can all engage in reconciliation, respect, and recognition of the world’s oldest continuous living cultures. We will continue to respect and acknowledge the strengths and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and foster ongoing relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We will promote equality, equity, and inclusivity through our curriculum, practices and policies, working towards an Australia free of racism with equal opportunities for all.
