At Mosman Park Primary School our vision for reconciliation is to continue to:
•LISTEN (Nih) - to the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, f or the benefit of all; to celebrate, appreciate and take pride in the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, stories and continuing contributions. •LEARN (Kaartdijin) - By acknowledging the true past and present colonial wrongs and injustices and to move forward together by promoting unity, equality and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; deepening our understanding and valuing of First Nations cultures, heritages and connections to Country. •LEAD (Birdya) - Through the creation of opportunities for respectful and equitable cultural partnerships within the community and beyond; and by respectfully including knowledge of local Noongar histories, cultures and languages and, the knowledge and perspectives of other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Nations, in our everyday pedagogies and practices.
We believe in, and are committed to actively fostering: TRUTH, JUSTICE, HEALING.
