Our vision for reconciliation at Solomontown Primary School begins by acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the Lands we now call Australia and the Nukunu people as the Traditional Custodians of Port Pirie and surrounds. We believe that all children, staff, and families should feel a sense of belonging. We strive to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander's perspectives into our everyday practice. Reconciliation is about acknowledging the injustices of the past and working together for a future that allows all Australians to live with equity and equality.
