We, Le Fevre High School, share a collective vision for reconciliation in Australia. Our vision is to create a society that embraces and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their cultures, histories, and contributions. We recognise the Traditional Custodians of the Yerta Bulti region and seek to honour and develop relationships with First Nations peoples. We are committed to providing a safe and culturally inclusive environment, where diversity is celebrated and genuine conversations and actions for improving opportunities for First Nations peoples are ongoing. Through education, awareness, and understanding, we aim to foster respect, equality, and equitable opportunities for all students and community members. We acknowledge the past injustices and aim to make amends by respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and Truth-telling throughout our curriculum. We strive to strengthen relationships, challenge injustice, to promote healing and unity. Our vision is a reconciled Australia where everyone is treated with dignity, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are fully valued and celebrated. Together, we aspire to create a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families have the same opportunities for safety, well-being, and hope as all Australians.
