VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At St Thomas Aquinas School, our vision for reconciliation is to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in a spirit of truth, healing, and unity. We recognise the ongoing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to the land, waters, and sky, and we honour the rich cultures, languages, and histories that continue to shape our nation. We are committed to building respectful relationships, deepening understanding, and embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our learning and community life. Through reconciliation, we strive to create a community where all people feel a deep sense of belonging, respect, and hope; a community that values truth-telling, celebrates diversity, and works towards justice for all. Grounded in our Catholic faith and guided by the Gospel values of Respect, Compassion, Justice, and Service, we are called to live out reconciliation each day, through our hearts, our words, and our actions.
