At Bundanoon Public School, our vision for reconciliation is unity between non-Indigenous and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We commit to acknowledging the true histories of colonisation and its lasting impacts on First Nations peoples, and to acknowledging the longstanding and continuing strengths and contributions of First Nations peoples, cultures and perspectives. Together, we will deepen our engagement with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to ensure First Nations peoples histories, cultures and perspectives are respectfully embedded in our teaching/learning, celebrated on significant days and reflected across our everyday school environment. We will strive to engage in ongoing learning, unlearning, and relearning as we create a path forward toward equality, equity, and respect. In doing so, we strive to ensure that this inclusive approach to reconciliation enriches the experience of every student, staff and community member.
