Educational stakeholders play a substantial role in ensuring Australian society has a strengthened acknowledgement and understanding of, respect for, and relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Peoples. This is imperative in driving meaningful reconciliation within wider Australian society and culture today, and into the future. At Elizabeth Macarthur High School, we are committed to ensuring that our responsibility towards reconciliation is respectfully embedded into our policies, programs, processes, goals and educational opportunities. Through modelling the importance of continued learning, unlearning and relearning about Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives, and through promoting respectful, collaborative relationships between our School and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, we aim to ensure all executives, staff, students, parents and external programs work together to promote and sustain reconciliation.
