Manchester Road Early Learning Service acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Land Owners within the local community. Manchester Road acknowledges the Elders, both past and present for their strong and ongoing connection to the Land. The cultural diversity of our community is valued; our vision for reconciliation is to create a culture that is committed to building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community and deepening our understanding t is our belief that in order to strive for genuine reconciliation it is crucial to acknowledge the past hurts and injustices inflicted upon the First Australians and their continued impact today. We choose to challenge the stereotypes and prejudices of the past and walk forward together whilst respecting, understanding and embracing the cultural diversity of First Nations peoples. The reconciliation journey that Manchester Early Learning Service is committed to, will ensure that as a small community we celebrate diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. As a service we hope to establish a welcoming, safe environment, one that is supportive, inclusive and celebrates the cultures and diversity of our community, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Together with our children and families, our aim is to work towards a positive and shared future built on strong relationships where rights, interest and the well-being of First Nations peoples are celebrated and valued as we walk the journey of reconciliation together.
