Our vision for reconciliation at Bellarine K4Kids is that we strive for unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. We seek to contribute to a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared histories, and removal of negative race relations.
Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We are here to educate children by respectfully and authentically embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives in our daily programs, whilst incorporating a sense of being, belonging, and becoming at our centre.
We at Bellarine K4Kids provide children, staff, families and the wider community with a range of respectful learning experiences which enhance their knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and heritages and encourages relationships with the local First Nations peoples at our centre and the broader community.
We are committed to maintaining positive relationships and strong connections with the Wathaurong People and respectfully embedding their shared knowledges in our curriculums and daily routines.
