Our vision for reconciliation is to provide children with a range of respectful learning experiences which enhance children's knowledge and understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' heritages and encourage connectedness with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our centre and community. We will implement positive relationships with the Awabakal people, whose histories and cultures will be respectfully included throughout our centres program and daily routines. We will develop and maintain reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community and connect with the Traditional Custodians the Awabakal people, to collaborate with on our centres reconciliation journey. We will strive to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of our team about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and heritages and the importance of sharing the continued significance of their cultures, perspectives and contributions within our service and community in a respectful manner. Our centre will implement sustainable practices and continue to be inspired by longstanding and continuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures, contributions and practices. We will use this inspiration to create meaningful and appropriate contemporary learning experiences about reconciliation in education.
