At Rising Stars Kindergarten, our vision for reconciliation is to create a respectful, inclusive and culturally safe environment where all children, families and members of our community feel welcomed, valued and empowered.
We are committed to building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and honouring the rich cultures, histories and contributions of the First Nations peoples of Australia. Through everyday practice, we aim to meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives within our learning environment, curriculum and community connections. By nurturing curiosity, respect and understanding in children from an early age, we hope to foster a generation that recognises the importance of reconciliation and values the diverse cultures, voices and knowledges of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Together with our staff, children, families and local community, we strive to walk alongside First Nations peoples in the spirit of respect, learning and partnership.
