At our early learning service, we are committed to fostering a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, histories and perspectives are respectfully embedded into everyday practice. We recognise the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play, and we honour their ongoing connections to land, culture, and community. Our vision for reconciliation is to nurture generations of children who grow up with a deep respect for First Nations peoples, their histories, languages, and perspectives. We strive to create meaningful opportunities for children, families, and educators to learn together, build understanding, and develop genuine relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples grounded in respect and trust. Through ongoing reflection, collaboration, and education, we aim to challenge bias, promote equity, and ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices are heard and respected within our service. We are committed to embedding reconciliation into our curriculum, partnerships, and daily interactions, creating a sense of belonging for all. Together, we walk the journey of reconciliation learning from the past, acknowledging the present, and working towards a future where all First Nations peoples and cultures are respected.
