At Drysdale Preschool, we understand that reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians is the responsibility of all Australians. We recognise the significance of belonging for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families for them to grow and reach their potential.
Our vision, in collaboration with the Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-op and Wadawurrung Traditional Owners is to build relationships that are respectful and welcoming that provide an inclusive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The educator team at Drysdale Preschool believes in supporting, developing and implementing educational opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and all students, our families and wider community.
Our vision for reconciliation is to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised, acknowledged and respected in meaningful ways within our everyday practice. We are committed to being ethical, interconnected and inclusive, respecting the knowledge, culture and perspectives that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples share with our community.
