Happy Hippo Kindergarten and Childcare is a learning community that places great importance on reconciliation, and we firmly believe that it begins with genuine respect and appreciation for the rich heritage, contributions and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We strive to foster positive relationships with our children, educators, families and the wider community grounded in respect and reconciliation with First Nations peoples. Our goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment that recognises and celebrates the diversity within all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate and we work towards building meaningful connections with them.
At Happy Hippo Kindergarten and Childcare, we are committed to promoting cultural awareness and understanding, and we actively seek opportunities to incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and knowledge into our curriculum.
