At First Choice Early Education Centre, we understand that reconciliation involves; building understandings of the past. We acknowledge and celebrate First Nations peoples and cultures, creating forward-thinking commitments to reconciliation, and working together as a united community. We will inspire and promote young childrens curiosities of, and connections with, the First Peoples of Australia. We strive for reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community to ensure everyone we connect with feels seen, heard, understood and welcome in our centre. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow and learn in a space that is safe and accepting of their cultures, beliefs and traditions. We commit to creating ongoing equal and equitable outcomes opportunities for education, empowerment, connection and action in our childrens earliest years, This will be guided by and in respect of First Nations peoples of Australia. We recognise that reconciliation within our community should be shaped by the voices, cultures and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we will continue to grow and adapt our practices in partnership with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, strengthening our approach through reflection and continuous improvement.
