Our vision for reconciliation at Hendra House Early Learning is to foster unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. We will continue to develop a community and nation that understands and engages with reconciliation through respect, equality, equity, and unity.
We are honoured to learn alongside the Turrbal people, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live, work and play and we will work in collaboration with First Nations people in our continued commitment to reconciliation and cultural inclusion. Fostering meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and Traditional Custodians, deepens our community's understanding of Turrbal peoples' histories and cultures,
We commit to learning, unlearning and relearning, knowing and acknowledging the true histories of the nation, working towards justice and equal and equitable education outcomes for First Nations peoples and all that attend our early learning service.
We commit to using this knowledge to strengthen our understanding and cultural responsiveness of those in our community, to bravely and confidently lead and guide the reconciliation journey for our little people, families and wider community.
