Our vision for reconciliation at Learning Ladder Centre is to create a learning space where all children respect the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and traditions. By integrating respectful and inclusive language and practices, we strive to foster a sense of belonging, understanding, and mutual respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures within our community.
We are committed to continuing to meaningfully engage with reconciliation by ensuring that all voices, particularly those of First Nations peoples, are respectfully honoured in our learning programs. Through our practices, we will continue to inspire curiosity, empathy, and open-mindedness in the children, families and educators in our care community. We are dedicated to supporting every childs journey of learning, ensuring they develop a deep respect for the cultural diversity of First Nations peoples and gain an understanding of the importance of reconciliation and our shared histories.
By weaving our understanding of the teachings of the Bunurong people and other First Nation peoples' perspectives into our curriculum, we continue to empower children to become respectful global citizens, with a strong sense of their identity and an appreciation for the histories and stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Together, we nurture a community that values connection with, respect for, and the celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, both past and present.
