Our vision for Gumboots Early Learning, Jacksons Hill includes ensuring that all children have equeal and equitable access to educational opportunities and outcomes. We truly and deeply value and respect the Wurundjeri WoiWurrung the First Peoples as the First Peoples of Koor Koora Kup (Sunbury).
As Australians actively working towards reconciliation our centre embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians by promoting equality and equity, historical acceptance of our own shared history and removal of discrimination and negative race relations. Through reconciliation we strengthen the relationships between the wider Australian community and our local Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples for the benefit of all Australians
Our reconciliation plan is a formal statement of commitment to reconciliation. By making this commitment Gumboots Early Learning Jacksons Hillaims to: enrich the lives of our staff educators, children and families, volunteers and the wider communitythrough a deeper understanding and connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will also provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to have input and contribute into our service and curriculums.
