Playhouse Early Education and Care's vision for reconciliation is for an inclusive and connected service and wider community which proudly acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people as the Traditional Owners of the Land and Waterways in which we live on. At Playhouse Early Education and Care, we believe it is important to educate and deepen our understanding of reconciliation within our next generation of Australians. We aim to support the children, educators, families and the wider community in our service to grow up with an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, cultures and contributions. We aim to achieve our vision by embedding the aspirations and commitments contained within the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) throughout our service, within all our activities, and programs in respectful collaboration with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We will continue to develop meaningful relationships with the local community, fostering respect and understanding, valuing cultural heritage, and supporting self-determination. We will learn from the past, we will celebrate continuing cultures, and together we will build our shared vision for reconciliation.
