Here at Kids Kingdom Learning Centre, we aim to be advocates for reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people. We are dedicated to the ongoing acknowledgement of the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, rights and histories and that they are respectfully included in our learning programs, policies, procedures and team professional development. We believe in strengthening relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and ensuring that we are respectful and deepening our understanding of the local First Nation community, history, and cultures. We believe in ensuring each child within our centre has the opportunity to learn about and be a part of the reconciliation process to promote a future based on respect, understanding and acknowledgement of the past. We are dedicated to developing, promoting, and strengthening relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as well as the larger community across Australia as well. We aim to provide an environment where all children and families feel welcomed, have their culture reflected in the programs and feel safe; supported and understood.
