Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians, and a culture that represents equality, equity and acceptance for all. We believe by following our philosophy we are helping to guide children into becoming confident, creative, environmentally responsible and active members of future society, contributing to a brighter future for all Australians. We believe we are all constantly learning and improving ourselves and our practices. We hope through this plan, we as educators can all improve our awareness and understanding of cultural practices and incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our professional lives. We hope to build upon our understanding, appreciation and respect for First Nations cultures and contributions in our personal lives as well, so we may all be more respectful and inclusive individuals and have a workplace that reflects this. We are committed to including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives within our service in order to support children to learn, engage with and implement respectful and inclusive practices throughout their days. We are committed to supporting children in our care to become confident, respectful and responsible, active members of future society, contributing to a brighter future for all First Nations peoples and all Australians.
