At Story House Early Learning Lynbrook we believe reconciliation means to recognise and respect the significant position of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Custodians of the Lands now known as Australia, their cultures, rights and contributions. We strive to ensure meaningful relationships between First Nations peoples and other Australians become the foundation for local strength and successful partnerships, and the enhancement of reconciliation and wellbeing for all. Respectful relationships, acknowledging and valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and Lands; and creating equal and equitable educational opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and all children are part of our vision for reconciliation. We work to ensure all families and children feel a sense of belonging and see their identities reflected in Story House Early Learning Lynbrook program and environment. We are dedicated to strengthening Story House childrens and educators connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and to learning, playing and growing together with First Nations peoples. We acknowledge the ongoing contributions made by First Nations peoples and recognise the significance of their cultures, histories, and perspectives. We see reconciliation as our ongoing work.
