Within our early childhood early learning organisation, we advocate for values of unity and acceptance. We acknowledge the ongoing connections Traditional Custodians have to Country. Our vision is to continue to develop a more meaningful understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We will respectfully incorporate this growing knowledge and understanding into our daily learning program to guide children towards having a better understanding and appreciating the cultures, histories, and contributions of Australia's First Peoples. In a reconciled Australia, children will learn to empathise, and will actively accept, value, and appreciate the many contributions of First Peoples.
Our commitment to Elders and Traditional Owners of the Land also includes respectful engagement, and to strengthening connections to build long-term relationships. As part of this commitment, we also strive to empower our educators to deliver a more holistic and confident approach to teaching about the cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We strive to provide an inclusive educational environment that is culturally safe as well as culturally rich and proud. We are committed to ensuring that this is a place free of racism and all forms of discrimination.
Our commitment reflects our values of respect, inclusion, advocating for children's rights, justice, honesty, and courage. We acknowledge the RAP as a continual process, and, as individuals, as a team, and as an early childhood learning organisation, we will continuously add to and grow it.
