Our vision for reconciliation is to continue creating a welcoming space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures are meaningfully valued, respected, and embedded across our programs and practices. We believe reconciliation is an important journey for all Australians. Reconciliation to us is about ensuring there are opportunities to build and maintain stronger, trusting relationships between everyone across our learning community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community.
At Milestones Marsden, we are committed to recognising and respecting the true histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge their deep connections to Country, its lands, waters, and stories. We will continue to reflect on and meaningfully engage with the connections between reconciliation and education in our learning environments and daily practices.
We will continue to ensure that there are opportunities for everyone across our service, including children, families, and educators, to learn about reconciliation by learning alongside First Nations peoples and perspectives, in order to foster respect, belonging, and culturally responsive practice as part of our everyday service practice and experiences.
